Position PurposeThe Executive & Disciple‑making Minister ensures the ministries of Cornerstone operate with alignment, clarity, and excellence. This role advances Cornerstone’s vision of Be Disciples, Make Disciples and its mission to Notice, Name, and Know, by providing leadership development, ministry oversight, relational discipleship pathway implementation, and operational coordination across the entire church.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership Development & Staff Oversight- Directly oversee staff, ministry team leaders, and volunteer teams through regular rhythms of mentorship and support.
- Build leadership‑development pathways, pipelines, and competency processes for all ministry areas.
- Partner with the Lead Minister to translate vision, mission, and annual goals into actionable ministry plans for staff.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, spiritual maturity, and consistent execution.
- Quarterly evaluation meetings for all staff.
- Annual leadership pathway implementation and review.
- Biannual ministry alignment assessments.
- Evaluate staff effectiveness through clear outcomes, data, and alignment to Cornerstone Vision, Mission and Values.
- Identify gaps, opportunities, and strategic improvements for staff and ministry team leaders.
- Support staff and key leaders in planning, executing, and debriefing ministry events.
- Strengthen volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and training systems.
- Annual staff reviews.
- Volunteer recruitment and retention goals met.
- Event debriefs completed for all major initiatives.
- Recruit, train, coach, and care for Home Group leaders and co‑leaders.
- Provide curriculum, resources, and support aligned with Cornerstone’s relational discipleship model.
- Lead Disciple Shift trainings, workshops, and churchwide discipleship initiatives such as short‑term groups.
- Model relational disciple‑making through personal discipling relationships.
- Equip and empower leaders to multiply groups and discipleship environments.
- Number of active groups and % of congregation engaged.
- Annual leader recruitment and multiplication benchmarks.
- Attendance and completion of Disciple Shift trainings.
- Curriculum and discipleship resources produced on time and when needed.
- Partner with Lead Minister on churchwide strategy, long‑range planning, and vision execution.
- Oversee internal systems, communication flow, calendars, and ministry processes.
- Support budgeting, financial planning, and resource stewardship alongside staff.
- Provide regular budget reviews, forecasting, and spending accountability.
- Implement Intentional Churches’ Church OS to improve clarity, productivity, and ministry alignment.
- Annual budget cycle completed with clarity and timely communication.
- Routine budget updates provided to staff and elders.
- New systems or workflow improvements implemented yearly.
- Model spiritual maturity, relational integrity, and a disciple‑making lifestyle.
