Whatdoes the Support Lead do?
Under the leadership of the Store Manager/Leader and Customer Service Manager, the Support Lead assists with the direction of the Front End Lead(s) and sales associates while the Manager on Duty. The Support Lead is responsible for all key functions of the store as directed and for "Wow the Customer", front‑end operations, cash management, cleanliness, safety, and driving sales.

- Responsible for achieving CSAT score goals set by the District Manager
- Lead front‑end operations
- Train staff on the High Fives of Customer Service
- Ensure each guest has a fast, friendly checkout
- Maintain store cleanliness, recovery, and readiness for customers
- Open and close store procedures
- Assist front‑end operations and perform SM duties as needed
- Supervise, train, coach, and develop all associates
- Review corporate communications and respond accordingly
- Partner with supervisors or corporate office on store issues
- Drive store sales and control expenses
- Assist payroll processes and ensure payroll stays within budget
- Assist with merchandising procedures
- Adhere to Five Below SOPs and hold associates accountable
- Handle cash procedures, including preparing and dropping bank deposits
- Authorize register functions such as post voids, returns, and discounts
- Comply with Human Resources policies and procedures
- Assist in receiving, stocking, unloading, checking, staging, and packing merchandise
- Assist front‑end and queue merchandising
- Drive key metrics:
Sales, ADS, CSAT scores, and expense control - Perform store maintenance: garbage removal, sweeping, bathroom cleaning, stock room upkeep
- Frequently operate cash register
- Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and up to a height of 5‑10 feet
- Frequently ascend/descend ladders for stock retrieval and storage
- Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in the stock room and sales floor
- Frequently communicate with customers and coworkers in person or on the phone
- Frequently move across sales floor and to/from stock room
- Identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, SOPs
- Remain in a stationary, upright position 80% of the time
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- College experience preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Creative thinking.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
