Position Overview :

As part of the Mercury Marine Maintenance team, you will provide expertise in installing, programming, troubleshooting, servicing and documenting the electrical/electronic needs of the production/facility equipment in a Distribution Center environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs manufacturing process / production machines, robots, automation equipment and related electrical equipment, such as electrical control circuits from 24

    VDC up to and including 480

    VAC, electro-mechanical test devices, instrumentation devices, PLCs / ladder logic controllers, and variable frequency drives as necessary.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and electronic schematics to provide effective modifications, advice, corrective actions, and more
  • Provide support for equipment such as, automated conveyor systems, vision systems, semi-automated palletizers, various semi/auto packaging machines, industrial air compressors, HVAC systems, and more
  • Comply with NEC standards
  • Repair and maintain electrical equipment
  • Complete preventative, corrective and unplanned maintenance tasks. Utilize a CMMS/EAM system for work orders.
  • Install and maintain a wide variety of complex electrical equipment
  • Ability to design/construct electrical panels and perform effective wiring/installation (panel and field).
  • Diagnose, remove, replace and periodically maintain electrical motors
  • Provide electrical/electronic support for the facility equipment and systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years documented experience in the Electrician Trade in supporting complex manufacturing equipment and facility operations
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, RFID and other electronic sensors and devices.
  • Ability to use equipment and tools common to the Electrician's Trade
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision as well as positively contribute to a team environment
  • Perform all work timely as required according to Company safety policies, recognized industry standards, and always follow what is known to be safe practices
  • Ability to train, instruct, guide and mentor the work of apprentices in the development of skills and abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Journeyman’s Card or 2-year technical degree

Working Conditions:

  • 2nd Shift Position
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry 25
    -50 pounds occasionally, walk multiple steps in a day, stand for 8 hours/day and occasionally twist, bend, climb, grasp and other repetitive movements.
  • Must be able to work in all plant environments within warehouse and distribution.
  • Must be able to operate/drive PIT equipment, including reach truck, OP, pallet jack, etc. if needed.

Salary Range

The anticipated pay rate for this position is between $33.00 – $40.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
