Receiving Team Lead – 1st Shift
Join our team as a Receiving Team Lead at Saint‑Gobain Abrasives. You will oversee all inbound operations, ensuring that shipments are safely and accurately unloaded, inspected, and documented.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with overtime opportunities.
Essential Functions- Lead administration of the inbound receiving dock to ensure safe and accurate receipt of product.
- Train, mentor and support the team to foster high performance while meeting KPI’s.
- Perform daily transportation scheduling via the Transportation Management System for inbound receiving.
- Steer compliance for safety practices, including housekeeping, 5S, safety team meetings, incident reporting, and assistance in investigations.
- Use proper annotation and documentation of quality errors, miss‑shipments, incorrect labeling or other material issues.
- Perform Jungheinrich powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment training:
Rider Reach Forklift (RR), Stock Picker Forklift (SP), Rider Counterbalance (RC), Tugger (TR).
- 1+ years experience as a warehouse team lead (preferred).
- 3+ years experience in the inbound department of a warehouse (required).
- 1+ years experience with various forklift equipment, specifically Rider Reach Forklift, Stock Picker Forklift, Rider Counterbalance Forklift, Tugger (preferred).
- Two years of experience performing adjustments within SAP and JDA.
- Knowledge of JDA/Blue Yonder, Micro Strategy.
- General understanding of DC operations including inbound operations, returns processing, receiving transactions tracing in both JDA/SAP, inventory adjustments, outbound processing, picking, replenishment, and inventory control processes.
- Basic understanding of Lean and continuous improvement techniques.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes across the distribution center.
- Willingness to work in a non‑temperature‑controlled area (hot or cold, trailers at outside temperature).
- Ability to lift 30‑50 lbs and perform routine physical activities.
- Ability to pass OSHA approved Jungheinrich material handling equipment certification.
