About the Opportunity

Firmo is seeking an experienced Project Manager with extensive ground‑up hotel construction expertise to join our team. As a Commercial PM, you will oversee the day‑to‑day management of multiple construction projects, from pre‑construction through closeout, with a focus on delivering ground‑up hospitality projects for top brands like Hilton and Marriott on time and within budget.

This is an on‑site, full‑time role based in Brownsville, TX. You will be responsible for project schedules, budgets, and quality control while collaborating with the superintendent and coordinating with subcontractors, architects, and clients to ensure seamless delivery.

  • Have proven success leading commercial projects from pre‑construction to closeout.
  • Be an expert in ground‑up commercial construction, with hospitality sector experience strongly preferred.
  • Be highly proficient with Procore and other construction technology to maximize project performance.
  • Demonstrate strong ability in scheduling projects and maintaining tight budget control.
  • Exhibit strong leadership in managing subcontractors and vendors to align with project goals.
  • Be skilled in interpreting construction documents to guide execution and resolve issues.
  • Uphold and promote a culture of integrity, excellence, accountability, and collaborative teamwork.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Oversee and manage multiple projects (ground‑up hotels, PIPs).
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and buyout to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
  • Prepare and issue project documentation, RFIs, POs, Scope of Work, etc.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all construction project documents and plans.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts.
  • Review subcontractor’s draw requests and supplier invoices for accuracy.
  • Leverage Procore dashboards and reporting tools to monitor progress and performance.
  • Stay current with industry trends and continuously seek opportunities to expand skills.
  • Mentor and guide direct reports to support their professional growth.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years' experience in ground‑up commercial construction project management, with hospitality project experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project (Required).
  • OSHA
    30 & CPR certifications (available to complete upon hire).
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Credible professional references available upon request.
  • Ability to visit and navigate active construction sites as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and transport project‑related materials, such as documents or equipment.
