Job Description

MUST UPLOAD HS DIPLOMA/GED , TX DRIVERS LICENSE AND RESUME

REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) in English,
  • A current Texas driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required.
  • One (1) year progressive experience in television production, transmission/broadcasting and/or engineering.

PREFERRED:

Associate's Degree with specialization in Television Production Telecommunications, Media, Radio and Television Broadcasting, Computer Science, Photography, or related area preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produces educational, instructional or informational videos using professional broadcast equipment.
  • Assists in production of live and recorded television programming. Serves as Technical Director, Character Generator, Audio Director, Videographer/Photographer and/or Video Operator as needed.
  • Insures the proper transmission signal as required by the Cable Operator. Maintains a continuous audio and video signal for KBSD. Prepares all television production equipment, such as cameras, lighting, microphones and other equipment as required for field and in-house productions.
  • Creates/designs program appropriate sets and lighting. Builds and maintains a variety of sets and props.
  • Performs preventative and minor equipment maintenance.
  • Strives continually to promote the safety, health and comfort of students and employees in the performance of duties.
  • Drives District vehicles to and from work sites; obeys all traffic laws.
  • Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
  • Maintains confidentiality. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees.
  • Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Director.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $16.35 Per Hour
