Research Assistants will be assigned to assist a faculty member with data collection, analyzation, publication of data, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Assist faculty members with data collection, analysis, and publication.
- May serve as lab assistants, graders, participate in creative activity, and assist in instructional efforts.
- Work 20 hours per week with flexible distribution.
- Must be admitted to a graduate degree program.
- Must be in good academic standing.
- Be registered full-time for the respective semester (nine credit hours during fall or spring, three during summer) or maintain the required number of credit hours to complete remaining degree requirements.
The Research Assistant position is available to full‑time graduate students, preferably those in good academic standing and enrolled in the School of Earth, Environment & Marine Science.

The Research Assistant assistantship award is available to master’s students assigned to a specific faculty member. Duties are related to the student’s field of study and will vary depending on the project and assigned responsibilities. Research Assistants may also function as lab assistants, graders, for creative activity, and/or other endeavors that assist faculty members in the department’s instructional efforts.
