Conduct telecounseling outreach activities by making outbound telephone calls to provide support to former UTRGV undergraduate students who have “stopped-out” and are seeking readmissions to the university. This position will serve as a university representative providing support to “stopped-out” students through the admissions, enrollment, and financial aid processes. The Graduate Assistant – Readmission position will help students navigate UTRGV , connect students to resources, and potentially counsel students on appropriate next steps associated with obtaining a degree.

Additionally, the position will assist with training and coordinating the work of student staff who provide outreach services to undergraduate students seeking readmission and will serve as a backup for professional staff.

Current graduate student at UTRGV from any discipline.

• Experience working with prospective or current students;
  Strong interpersonal communication, time management, and problem-solving skills;
  Ability to multi-task, work independently, and coordinate the work of student staff;
  Ability to use Microsoft Office and office equipment.
