The OpportunityDue to continued growth, OFS Global Energy Solutions are currently recruiting for multiple experienced Generator Technicians to support a high-profile power generation project in Brownsville, Texas.
This position will focus on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and operation of large-scale power generation equipment operating in a fast-paced power generation environment.
Key Responsibilities- Performing installation, inspection, and maintenance of generator packages and supporting equipment.
- Supporting generator start-up, shutdown, synchronization, and load testing activities.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults on power generation equipment.
- Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
- Assisting with commissioning and operational readiness testing.
- Performing electrical checks, cable terminations, and equipment inspections.
- Monitoring equipment performance and report operational issues.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
- Working safely in accordance with project HSE requirements.
- Previous experience in generator commissioning and field service.
- Familiarity with diesel generators, gas turbine generators, switch gear, transformers, and auxiliary systems is highly desirable.
- Experience working on industrial generator packages, temporary power systems, or power plant equipment.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
