Job Title:

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Part-time/PRN

Job Summary:

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic assessments and therapeutic services to individuals with speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The role is part-time or PRN, offering flexible working hours based on patient needs. The SLP will create and implement individualized therapy plans, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assess and Treat:
Conduct assessments, develop, and revise treatment plans for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

Documentation & Communication:
Complete clinical notes and communicate with physicians and the healthcare team.

Supervision &

Education:

Supervise assistants and educate patients, caregivers, and the healthcare team on therapy techniques.

Infection Control:
Ensure safe care by following infection control protocols.

Compliance &

Education:

Meet continuing education requirements and participate in quality improvement programs. Perform additional tasks as needed.

Perform other duties assigned

Qualifications:

Masters or Doctoral degree in Speech-language Pathology from an accredited college or university.

Active Texas state license as a speech-language pathologist.

Certificate of clinical competence from American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Proof of current CPR certification.

Current Texas driver’s license.

Skills:

Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, work independently, prioritize and manage time effectively. Strong clinical assessment, organizational and communication skills.

Computer skills required & light typing preferred for timekeeping and documentation.

Home health care experience preferred.

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
