RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 22-bed emergency department with 4:1 patient ratio

• Day shift staffing includes charge nurse plus 5 RNs with support staff

• Night shift staffing includes charge nurse plus 6 RNs with support staff

• Work 2 weekends per schedule, no on-call required

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI

• Minimum 5 years of recent emergency department experience in high-acuity setting required

• Must have strong triage and critical thinking skills

• Trauma and cardiac alert experience required, including care of STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients

• Use Meditech EMR system for documentation

• Perform IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, and wound care

• Provide moderate sedation for procedures such as reductions or cardioversion

• Assist with intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response

• Care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients

• Coordinate transport preparation for higher levels of care

• Conduct triage assessment and prioritization based on ESI guidelines

• Follow isolation and infection control protocols

• Document and reassess in fast-paced environments

• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs

• Must be team-oriented with strong work ethic and accountability

• Must be punctual, reliable, and compassionate with excellent patient-centered care

• Must be flexible and able to adapt to fast-paced environment

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
