Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care in the Emergency Department. The role requires advanced nursing skills, collaboration with healthcare providers, and commitment to patient advocacy and safety.
Responsibilities- Assess patient pain regularly and manage pain effectively.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate their needs.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and side effects.
- Teach non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 1 year of employment.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of employment.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with Associate, Bachelor, or RN Diploma.
- 1 year RN experience in an acute care setting.
