The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
Whatyou will do
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient‑care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and other managers to create a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support facility initiatives to improve engagement by operationalizing nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; implement training, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient‑care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Bachelor’s degree, RN diploma, or Associate degree in Nursing.
