Staff Registered Nurse Med Surg – Valley Regional Medical Center, Brownsville, TX

$39.70/hr – $42.10/hr

• Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
• Perform procedures and monitoring as ordered, ensuring thorough and timely documentation. Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipate needs, providing exceptional care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures, translating complex terminology.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Associate Degree.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support or CPR for Healthcare Providers obtained within 30 days of start date.
• 1+ year RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision and values.
