We are seeking a passionate and experienced RN Weekend Supervisor to join our leadership team at the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home
. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse who is committed to clinical excellence, enjoys mentoring and supporting nursing teams, and is dedicated to delivering exceptional care and service to our Veterans.

As an RN Supervisor, you will help cultivate this experience by leading clinical teams, supporting quality outcomes, and ensuring our Veterans receive the highest standard of care.

What You'll Do

As an RN Supervisor, you will:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing team members during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality resident-centered care in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate resident conditions, responding promptly to clinical concerns and changes in condition.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for LVNs, CNAs, and other clinical team members.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that supports engagement, retention, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident wellbeing and positive clinical outcomes.
  • Assist with staffing coordination, clinical oversight, and shift operations.
  • Support compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Foster meaningful connections with residents, families, and fellow team members through the Touchstone Experience.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Current and valid Texas RN license or Compact State RN license.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to resident advocacy and quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or charge nurse capacity.
  • Experience working in Veterans homes, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care settings.
  • Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
