We are currently looking for the right Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team!
$10.75 to $13.00 per hour with a commission structure that pays you for every transaction processed. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, a potential additional $2.61 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
They assist with customer inquiries and problem resolution while working with a wide variety of jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
The Part‑Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay will be based on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities of a Part‑Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate are:- Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Can work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan InformationThe employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their performance. More details will be provided during the interview process.
