Responsible for safely operating boom lifts, telehandlers, and Sky Trak rough-terrain forklifts to lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and personnel at construction, industrial, or warehouse job sites. Must follow all safety procedures, inspect equipment before use, and work efficiently with supervisors and crew members to complete daily assignments.
Skills and Experience EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate boom lifts to elevate personnel and materials to designated heights for construction and maintenance tasks.
- Operate telehandlers and Sky Trak equipment to lift, transport, and position heavy materials, pallets, and equipment.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections and report mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns.
- Safely load, unload, lift, and move materials across job sites.
- Position equipment on stable ground and follow proper load capacity and weight limits.
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines, site-specific procedures, and all required personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Maintain awareness of overhead power lines, nearby workers, obstacles, and changing ground conditions.
- Communicate with ground personnel, spotters, and supervisors when maneuvering equipment.
- Assist with general labor duties as needed, including material handling, cleanup, and maintaining an organized work area.
- Complete equipment inspection checklists and report maintenance needs promptly.
