Daycare Trainer position at Center for Life Resources. Part time – Flexible and Variable. This role focuses on helping children and families and contributing to a compassionate, mission‑driven team.

• Demonstrate competency, good judgment and self‑control in the presence of children and when performing assigned responsibilities.
• Recognize and respect the uniqueness and potential of all children, their families, and their cultures.
• Ensure that no child is abused, neglected, or exploited while in the care of the center and report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to DFPS as specified in the Texas Family Code.
• Know and comply with the minimum standards for child‑care centers.
• Know which children they are responsible for; know each child’s name and have information showing each child’s age.
• Supervise children at all times and ensure the children are not out of control.
• Be free from activities not directly involving the teaching, care and supervision of children.
• Perform meal preparation and janitorial duties as needed.
• Interact with children in a positive manner, fostering developmentally appropriate independence through planned but flexible program activities; show appreciation of children’s efforts and accomplishments.

Education and Experience:

• Graduation from standard high school, GED or passing a Center’s Competency Test.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a current record of tuberculosis examination, showing the employee is free of contagious TB.
• Applicant will also go through Childcare Licensing Pre‑screening process prior to being hired.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

• Valid Driver’s License required.
