General Contractor is searching for a Project Engineer with federal construction experience. The Project Engineer will evaluate engineering design, ensure projects are completed on budget and schedule, provide technical support, and manage change requests for owners and subcontractors in close collaboration with the Project Manager.
Responsibilities- Administration of all aspects of the construction project.
- Assist Project Manager in generating and managing project budgets, cost controls and project‑related invoicing.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, material suppliers, hired labor, inspectors, testing labs and other parties required to fulfill schedule and project requirements.
- Generate change orders and claim proceedings.
- Maintain appropriate document control and electronic file structures.
- Timely submission of all reports as required by management or clients.
- Accuracy, thoroughness and execution.
- Finish projects early; all tasks must be completed ahead of schedule.
- Learn about project budgets, changes, and how to read financial reports.
- Teamwork: support and back‑up teammates.
- Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of construction processes.
- Strong RFI, Submittal, Change Order and Meeting Minute skills.

- Review and distribute submittals
- Set up and manage file structures in Bluebeam and on internal servers
- Scope review

- Activity management (add/delete)
- Create and define relationships
- Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering.
- 2+ years of project experience in construction.
- Experience with federal construction sites preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office, Procore, and schedule software (preferably Primavera P6).
$70,000 to $85,000
