Duties may vary based on specific program and position, and may include but are not limited to the following:

• Under the general supervision of the Chief of Children’s Services, and with considerable latitude for independent judgment, the responsibility is to provide programmatic direction and implementation of state guidelines established by the Early Childhood Intervention Program.
• The Supervisor provides direct supervision of the staff, including selection and training.
• He/She coordinates activities and training needs of the staff, is responsible for initiating and maintaining contracts and providing follow-along for these services.
• The Supervisor is a liaison between the State Agency (ECI), public schools, professional groups, other groups such as civic groups and families.
• He/She is involved in program planning, development, and interagency coordination as well as ongoing assistance in budget development.
• The Supervisor must maintain a current knowledge of early childhood development and current best practices of intervention for children with disabilities.

• Proficient in the use of computers using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Position requires a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree from an accredited university with a specialization in:
Child Development, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Nursing, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Development, or related field; or an unrelated field and have at least 18 hours of semester course credit in Child Development.

ECI experience preferred.
