We are looking for an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our Small Business Department in Brunswick. The ideal candidate will utilize their strong understanding of accounting principles to provide high-quality accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll services to multiple clients.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting services to small and mid-sized businesses and professional service firms.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Manage general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Prepare and reconcile sales and use taxes for state and local levels.

Process payroll for multiple clients.

Perform month-end closing procedures and reconcile all banking and financial accounts.

Calculate, prepare, and issue invoices and financial statements.

Manage year-end 1099 processing.

Research and resolve client issues in Quick Books or other accounting software.

Develop positive client relationships through excellent customer service.

Complete financial analysis and support special projects.

Perform other duties as required.

Desired Skills and Experience

At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.

Associate's Degree in Accounting preferred.

Proficiency in accounting principles, practices, and procedures, especially on automated systems.

Advanced skills in Quick Books and MS Excel.
