Job Summary

The Department Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of Residence Life and Housing by centralizing administrative functions, streamlining communication systems, and enhancing customer service. This position also assists with case management for the CARE Team, provides administrative support for Student Conduct and Title IX, and serves as the department's primary administrator for the Star Rez and Maxient systems.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for housing inquiries, providing timely and professional responses to students, parents, and campus partners.
  • Manage shared office systems, including department inboxes, calendars, and phone coverage, to ensure consistent and efficient communication.
  • Coordinate purchasing and procurement, including invoice tracking and supply inventory, in collaboration with the Business Office.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical records, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, FERPA, and retention standards.
  • Serve as the departmental administrator for Star Rez and Maxient, managing data entry, report generation, and user training for staff.
  • Provide administrative support for Student Conduct and Title IX, including scheduling hearings, preparing documentation, and maintaining case records in Maxient.
  • Support the CARE Team by assisting with case tracking, follow-up communication, and coordination of student support resources in Maxient.
  • Develop and distribute housing communications, such as email campaigns and marketing materials, to enhance outreach and engagement.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements

Associate degree in business administration, education, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Background Check/Position of Trust.
Required Experience

At least two years of experience in administrative or student services support.
