Overview
Do you love working with children and helping them grow to be the best that they can be? Do you want to help truly make a difference in someone’s life? Then, Youth Mentor I is the job for you. Our Youth Mentors get paid to play with the kids in our care and help teach them daily living skills. A Youth Mentor is able to provide structure through the implementation of a daily schedule and remains fair and consistent in their daily interactions with residents.
Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision of clients at all times and be a positive role model and mentor.
- Implement and maintain a daily schedule to provide structure for residents.
- Relate to children, youth, and adults with energy, flexibility, and maturity; demonstrate motivation to learn and develop appropriate childcare skills.
- Meet the basic needs of all residents placed under direct care and supervision; exercise tact, good judgment, and initiative when interacting with youth, staff, and the public.
- A high school education or above
- Two years minimum experience with children/youth; residential setting preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Clean background
- Must be at least 21 years of age per state regulations
- 2 shifts available: 7AM-7PM (17 openings) or 7PM-7AM (12 openings)

Each resident receives individualized services addressing physical, psychological, social, educational, and spiritual needs. We provide 24-hour watchful oversight with on-site supports to assist each child in being successful in their transition to the least restrictive environment possible.
