Job Summary
This is a 19.5 hours per week maximum, part-time student position. The role requires employees who can positively represent this Office and the College to various internal and external constituents with a professional demeanor at all times. Students must have effective writing, verbal communication, and Microsoft Office skills, and a high level of integrity due to confidential information. The Supplemental Instruction Leader attends every assigned class and conducts at least two SI sessions during the week, responsible for planning, coordinating, and conducting the sessions and for collecting and recording all data pertinent to program evaluation.
The weekly schedule is assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the student’s class schedule and may change between semesters or as needed. Students are not to work during scheduled class time, even if class is cancelled or dismissed early.
- Attend assigned classes
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct at least 2 SI Sessions during the week
- Collect and record data for program evaluation
- Perform any related work as required
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at all times
- Must possess and maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
- Must have received an A or B in the course assistance is provided
Required Qualifications
- Understand and manage statistical data
- Written letter of recommendation from faculty
- Excellent customer relation skills
- 18 years old or older
- May not be employed in more than one job at a time on campus
