About Us Join our Team at the College of Coastal Georgia! Located on the southeast Atlantic coast in Brunswick, midway between Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida, the College of Coastal Georgia is an undergraduate college in the University System of Georgia with an additional outreach through the Camden Center in Kingsland, Georgia. The College provides an affordable and interactive education in the natural beauty and abundant sunshine of Georgia's Golden Isles, an area noted for world‑class golf courses and resorts as well as amazing diversity of maritime habitats, wildlife and sea creatures.

Job Summary

This is a 19.5 hours per week maximum, part‑time student position. This position requires employees who are able to positively represent this Office and the College to various internal and external constituents with a positive and professional demeanor at all times.

The student employee must have effective writing, verbal communication, and Microsoft Office skills. Student employees must have a high level of integrity as they may come into contact with confidential information. The Supplemental Instruction Leader attends every class they are assigned to and conducts at least two SI sessions during the week. The SI leader is responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting the sessions in addition to collecting and recording all data pertinent to program evaluation.

The weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the student's class schedule. The work schedule is subject to change between semesters or as needed. Students are not to work during scheduled class time, even if class is cancelled or dismissed early.

Responsibilities
  • Attend assigned classes
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct at least 2 SI Sessions during the week
  • Collect and record data for program evaluation
  • Perform any related work as required
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at all times
  • Must possess and maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
  • Must have received an A or B in the course assistance is provided

Required Qualifications
  • Understand and manage statistical data
  • Written letter of recommendation from faculty
  • Excellent customer relation skills
  • 18 years old or older
  • May not be employed in more than one job at a time on campus
Proposed Salary

$10 per hour
