The College of Coastal Georgia Department of Natural Science seeks qualified applicants for the part time applicant pool for a part-time Instructor of Chemistry. This is an applicant pool for teaching in the School of Arts & Sciences starting August 1, 2025. Applicants will be reviewed on an as-needed basis and hiring may occur up to the start date of a given semester.
Responsibilities - The successful candidate will teach Chemistry courses (lecture and/or laboratory) contingent to the needs of the College and Department. Essential duties include: maintaining office hours, preparing lesson plans, lectures, and other course materials such as quizzes and exams, completing required trainings, teaching at the Brunswick campus or Camden Center either face-to-face, hybrid, or online and timely submission of final grades and attendance reports.
QualificationsEducational Requirements
MS or PHD in Chemistry or related fields with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Chemistry.
Required Experience
- Successful teaching experience
- Evidence of professional development
Preferred Experience
- Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level
