Job SummaryThe Temporary Director of Residence Life and Housing/Deputy Title IX Coordinator is responsible for the educational leadership and overall operation of the residence halls. The Temporary Director is also expected to oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the Student Conduct process and serve in the Deputy Title IX Coordinator role. This is a full‑time position with optional live‑in housing arrangement and includes a meal plan when dining services are operational.
The position is designated as Essential Personnel and Campus Security Authority (CSA).
- Hire, train, and supervise two Residence Hall Directors and one Administrative Assistant.
- Design, create, and execute learning outcomes for a residential programming curriculum and staff training/development.
- Oversee budget lines and forecasting related to Residence Life and Housing.
- Coordinate department communication through print, website, social media, and other electronic formats with students, parents, staff, and campus constituents.
- Coordinate openings and closings, oversee room furniture and key inventories, address maintenance concerns, create and manage emergency protocols, participate in on‑call duty rotation, and handle other residence hall management tasks.
- Serve as primary liaison for the Star Rez housing management system and work directly with Star Rez and Technology Services to maintain the system. Manage the room inventory system and oversee fee assessment process for all student housing charges, prepayments, fines, and refunds to the Bursar’s Office for the academic year and summer session.
- Serve as Deputy Title IX Coordinator reporting to the Title IX Coordinator and also as a College student conduct officer; lead day‑to‑day operation of the Student Conduct process.
- Serve as Vice Chair on the Behavioral Intervention Team.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree related to the field with at least five years of closely related field experience.
- Or Masters degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, or related field with at least three years of higher education experience or closely related field experience, preferably in housing or student conduct.
Other Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.
- Must successfully pass a credit check.
