Job SummaryThe full-time Pastry Chef Lecturer is a teaching chef assigned to the culinary arts program in the School of Business and Public Management in the Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts. This is a non‑tenure track 12‑month contract position.
Responsibilities- Teach theory and practical baking and pastry skills in the culinary arts program, including the execution, preparation, and decoration of quick‑service and fine dining restaurant baked and pastry goods.
- Teach chocolate and sugar work consistent with commercial bakery production.
- Teach 15 credit hours in each fall and spring semester and 8 credit hours in the summer semester.
- Maintain on‑campus office hours, prepare lesson plans, syllabi, including course objectives, lectures, and other course materials such as quizzes and exams, and submit final grades and attendance reports.
- Advise students.
- Provide service to the College and School.
- Assist with program assessment activities.
- Assist in maintaining a sanitary teaching kitchen.
- Teach in Brunswick.
- Educational Requirements: An Associate degree in baking and pastry and/or culinary arts from an accredited college or university.

Required Qualifications:
Current SERV Safe Manager certification. - Required Experience: More than five years of work experience within the past ten years in baking and pastry or culinary field; more than three years of instructional experience at an accredited culinary arts program.
