Pharmacy Operations Manager

Join Walgreens as a Pharmacy Operations Manager and oversee non‑clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers, ensuring compliance with Walgreens policies, state and federal regulations, and Good Faith Dispensing.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and manage records per regulatory requirements.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians, including discipline and termination decisions.
• Coordinate daily pharmacy workflow, including inventory management, schedule allocation, and maintenance of pharmacy equipment.
• Assist the pharmacist with patient care activities such as registration, data entry, medication preparation, vaccination, and health screenings where authorized.
• Maintain customer experience by greeting patients, resolving complaints, and promoting healthcare services.
• Monitor and report pharmacy metrics, insurance claims, and audit findings to improve financial and operational performance.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Minimum one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations).

• People‑management or leadership experience.
• Previous experience at Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation performance evaluation.

Hourly: $22.50 – $31.00. The exact amount will depend on geography, skills, and experience.
