Part‑Time Faculty, Cyber Security and Information Technology
Location:
CCGA‑Main Campus (Brunswick). Position .
Employment type:
Temporary, Part‑time.
The College of Coastal Georgia seeks qualified applicants for the part‑time applicant pool in the area of Cyber Defense. This is a teaching pool for the School of Business and Public Management. Applicants will be reviewed on an as‑needed basis and hiring may occur up to the start date of a given semester.
Responsibilities- Teach Cyber Defense courses contingent on the needs of the College.
- Maintain office hours.
- Prepare lesson plans, lectures, and other course materials such as quizzes and exams.
- Submit final grades and attendance reports.
- Masters degree with a minimum of eighteen semester hours at the graduate level in cyber security, information technology, computer science, or related fields.
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
- At least one of the following certifications: CISSP, CASP, CySA, CEH, or other related credentials.
- Ability to compete/assist and train students for cyber‑CTF or other cyber competitions.
- Masters degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
- Doctoral degree.
- Recent, successful post‑secondary teaching experience.
- Experience teaching online.
Successful completion of background investigation and legal authorization to work in the US prior to employment is required. Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a criminal background check demonstrating eligibility for employment with the College of Coastal Georgia, confirmation of the credentials and employment history reflected in application materials, and, if applicable, a satisfactory credit check. Applicants may be subject to a pre‑employment drug test.
