Midcoast FCU
Midcoast FCU is hiring a Branch Manager at its Brunswick location.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:- Creates an environment of teamwork and accountability by setting clear expectations, goals and objectives, and providing consistent coaching and development for their team. Role model member service by accurately responding to questions, troubleshooting issues, and assisting employees, members, and potential members in understanding and utilizing credit union products and services.
- Supervise and mentor direct/indirect reports on performance and production in all aspects of branch activities. Ensure employees are educated on credit union expectations and are working together to achieve stated goals and objectives. Coach and encourage employees to deepen member relationships through education on loan/deposit products and/or referrals. Ensure that member issues are made a priority and addressed timely to protect against reputational risk.
- Manage and document direct/indirect reports’ performance and development. Interviews, recommends for hire, trains, and oversees training plan, monitors progress, effectively schedules, assigns work to, establishes performance expectations. Provides in the moment coaching, constructive feedback, and appropriate recognition and positive reinforcement.
- Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures. This includes but is not limited to ensuring appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions, and that the branch balances all transactions at the close of each business day. Assist to research and resolve adjustments. Maintain all assigned equipment per established protocols and elevate through appropriate channels to troubleshoot and address any concerns if not working properly.
- Accurately and efficiently process member home equity requests.
- Represent the highest standards of the credit union’s core values at all times. Promote the credit union while attending community events such as Business After Hours, participating in local boards, volunteering etc. Performs other duties as assigned.
3-5 years similar or related experience, ideally with another credit union or financial institution.
Education:A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or equivalent experience within the industry is required.
