Abacus Technology is seeking a Program Manager to lead and oversee a team of technical professionals providing support for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities- Oversee and lead a team of technical staff providing support at multiple locations.
- Provide project maintenance and schedule management support.
- Develop project plans and support the creation, maintenance, and reporting on project schedules.
- Monitor the cost of ongoing and planned projects.
- Support improvements to current projects and planning for future projects.
- Provide a regular status report to Abacus management and government stakeholders.
7+ years experience in a project or program management role. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Must have strong practical experience in project management, gained through managing large and complex projects. Experience developing documents for risk and opportunity management. Experience developing and applying technical processes and technical management processes. Experience managing performance-based service agreements. Experience developing and managing project within assigned budgets.
Experience writing business cases. Experience in strategic planning. Experience and ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information, make sound judgments concerning program progress and effectively communicate recommendations orally and in writing to the government. Must have strong communication skills. Able to organize, prepare and discuss concepts and technical issues in an appropriate manner with senior-level staff. Knowledge of government budgeting and resource allocation procedures;
and the ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems. Experience with MS Office and Project. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
