Maintenance Supervisor; Night Shift

Position: Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift)

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced maintenance supervisor for the night shift to oversee facility and equipment maintenance operations in a fast-paced production environment. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of technicians, ensuring machine reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, well-organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Position

Responsibilities Team Leadership and Oversight

• Supervise night shift maintenance staff, assign tasks, and ensure coverage for all essential operations
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members
• Coordinate shift handovers and ensure clear communication between shifts

Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Lead preventative maintenance programs and unscheduled repairs on production equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues and ensure timely resolution
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, and parts inventory

Safety and Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and correct potential hazards
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Operational Efficiency

• Support production goals by minimizing equipment downtime and improving reliability
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams on process improvement initiatives
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and implement solutions to improve overall performance

Prerequisites

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Willingness to work night shifts on a regular basis

Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)

• OSHA Safety Certification
• Industrial Maintenance Certification
• Electrical or HVAC Technician License
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician)
