, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking PRN Nurse Practitioner to support Kadiak and our government customer in Glynco, GA. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.
Services are to be provided between the hours of 7:00 to 18:00, Monday through Friday unless specified otherwise. Flexibility is required.
Responsibilities- Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in a clinic setting according to the scope of practice outlined by the Board of Nursing, approved protocols, and national standards of practice as directed by the physician preceptor.
- Performs components of physical exams, which may include: vital signs, audiometry, vision testing, ECG, spirometry, phlebotomy, TB skin testing, and other required exam-related activities.
- Documents all clinical data on required forms.
- Assists CNM with orientation for new staff.
- Provides immunizations according to KGS policies and SOPs.
- Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
- Recognizes and responds to emergency calls when required and renders emergency services as needed.
- Ensures personal compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies.
- Prescribes and administers pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and laboratory studies, and interpreting test results.
- Ensures timely and accurate documentation of patient status and patient care activities including treatments, procedures, and medications prescribed.
- Meets with Medical Director or designate to discuss quality of patient care, review policies, procedures, outcomes reports, and records.
- Complies with federal and state privacy laws, always respecting a patient's confidentiality.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Ensures clinical competence and stays abreast of changes in medical management.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
- Not a supervisory position.
- At least two (2) years' experience in occupational health or related fields (public health, community health, outpatient clinic, emergency department, or ambulatory care).
- Adept at diagnosing problems and creating treatment plans for clients.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; RN license required.
- Master's degree in nursing as a Nurse Practitioner from a nationally accredited program required.
- Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure and listed on state APN Registry required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Tier 4 and Public Trust security clearance per government requirements.
- Meet licensing competency and professional qualifications for the hiring state; two years of field experience within the last three years.
- Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Number.
- Agree to a collaborative agreement with physician if required by the state.

- Physical demands: sustain repetitive movement (CPR compressions, etc.).
- Maintain physical tolerance (stand/walk/work on your feet for 8-12 hours).
- Push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds; position, transfer, ambulate patient, move equipment.
