Heavy Equipment Operator – Loader/Rake Operator

Many items on our jobsite weigh more than most could ever carry. The loader operator is responsible for staging and placing materials, tools, pumps, and other necessary items near the working site so that the crew can fulfill their roles. This person needs to be alert and forward-thinking. This is a mid‑level experienced position.

• Be able to sit or stand for multiple hours.
• Work long hours, including weekends and as needed to complete assignments.
• Work in outdoor environments, exposed to heat, rain, cold, wind, and other weather activities.
• Walk long distances.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform manual labor including raking, shoveling, chopping, hammering, etc.
• Wear required PPE as per safety manual and OSHA regulations.

• Ensure equipment is lawfully operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively.
• Inspect all equipment before each startup for brakes, horn, steering, fluids, back‑up alarm, and other safety and functional items.
• Operate various heavy equipment as requested, including excavators, dozers, loaders, trucks, skid steers, rollers, etc.
• Assist with traffic control as needed.
• Work in extreme environmental conditions as required.
• Assist laborers with manual labor tasks such as hooking up pumps, installing pipe, mixing concrete, carrying materials, throwing sod, seeding, etc.
• Operate equipment safely and responsibly.
