Job Description & How to Apply Below

MBLA is seeking a talented and curious landscape architect or designer with 2–5+ years of experience to join our studio.

This is an exciting period of growth for MBLA, with new projects underway and more on the horizon. Our small, collaborative studio works on a diverse portfolio across the U.S. and Canada, from distinctive private properties and hospitality destinations to urban spaces and academic and institutional campuses.

As a member of our team, you’ll contribute across all phases of design, work directly with senior leadership and leading architecture and design partners, and have the opportunity to grow with the practice as we enter our next chapter.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who is inquisitive about the relationship between the natural and built environments and brings strong design judgment, curiosity and attention to detail. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with colleagues, consultants and clients and should have strong graphic, written and verbal communication skills. An interest in architecture and interdisciplinary design is especially welcome.

WHY MBLA

MBLA offers the opportunity to engage in sophisticated, highly collaborative design work from our studio in Maine. Our size gives team members meaningful exposure to projects, clients and collaborators while working across a broad range of landscapes and use types.

We are a team-oriented firm offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Candidates should have:
  • A degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Approximately 2–5+ years of professional experience
  • Strong design and communication skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • The ability to work both collaboratively and independently within a small studio

Experience with Rhino, Lumion or similar modeling and visualization tools is preferred but not required.
