Position: Structural Engineer – New Grad & Early Professional (Brunswick, Maine)

What We’re Looking For
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Have, or are actively pursuing, Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Are eager to learn and grow technical skills in structural systems (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
  • Are comfortable using or learning structural analysis and BIM software (Revit, RAM, ETABS, RISA).
  • Communicate clearly, stay organized, and thrive in collaborative project teams.
  • Care about producing work that is accurate, code‑compliant, and client‑focused.
What You’ll Do
  • Assist in preparing structural design documents, drawings, calculations, and specifications.
  • Support the design of structural systems for infrastructure, commercial, and community‑driven projects.
  • Learn to perform structural analysis using software and manual calculations.
  • Support construction administration tasks, including shop drawing review, site visits, and field observations.
  • Coordinate design efforts with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Contribute to QA/QC reviews and learn to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
  • Participate in mentorship programs and gain knowledge from experienced engineers.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform occasional fieldwork, including site visits and construction inspections.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of field equipment or documents.
  • Frequent use of computers for design, documentation, and reporting.
  • Occasional day or overnight travel to project sites or client locations.
