Position: CAD Technicians & Designers – Structural Engineering (Brunswick, Maine)

We want to connect with Structural Engineers who:

• Hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field (preferred).
• Have 2–4 years of CAD/BIM experience in structural engineering.
• Are proficient with AutoCAD, Revit Structure, and other structural CAD/BIM platforms.
• Understand structural systems including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
• Apply QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
• Communicate clearly, stay organized, and thrive in collaborative project teams.

What You’ll Do

• Produce and refine structural engineering drawings, models, and construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit Structure, and other CAD/BIM platforms.
• Apply structural design information to create accurate steel, concrete, timber, and masonry plans.
• Coordinate drafting efforts with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Conduct QA/QC checks on your own drawings to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with codes and project standards.
• Maintain CAD/BIM standards, templates, and libraries.
• Support project management with documentation and deliverable tracking.
• Assist in preparing construction submittals, client deliverables, and project presentations.
• Collaborate on preliminary designs, layouts, and field coordination as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Occasional lifting and carrying of CAD equipment or documents.
• Frequent use of computers for drafting, modeling, and documentation.
• Ability to perform occasional fieldwork, including site visits and coordination with construction teams.
