Home Health and Hospice Nursing/Clinical Support Req #: 54193

For a limited time Maine Health is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants:

0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)

1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment

Maine Health CHANS Home Health & Hospice has provided expert home and hospice care to the mid coast Maine community since 1947. Our tradition of excellence extends from our mission and through the personal care delivered to each individual we are honored to service. We are accepting referrals in an expanded area within Cumberland County and are looking for Home Health Assistants to join our team in supporting new hospice patients.

Summary:

This position consists of 32 hours per week, day shifts. This position serves Cumberland County.

The Home Health Assistant role, under the direction of a licensed registered nurse, provides hands‑on personal care to clients in their home, providing services which are needed to maintain the client's health or to facilitate treatment of the client's illness or injury.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED preferred;
    Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience:

    Prior home care experience preferred.
