Cardiac Sonographer (Echo) – Echocardiography

Location:

Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick, ME.

Position:
Full- or Part-Time. Day Shift, 40 hrs per week (Full Time).

Job Summary – The Cardiac Sonographer I performs basic echocardiograms under supervision, assists with patient preparation, maintains equipment, and records patient data.

Sign On Bonus – $15,000.00 for eligible candidates (prorated for part-time hires). Per diem hires are ineligible. Current Maine Health employees and former employees separated less than 6 months are not eligible.

• Perform basic transthoracic echocardiograms under physician supervision.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures.
• Set up, operate, and maintain ultrasound equipment.
• Record and file patient data accurately.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.
• License/
  
  Certifications:
  
  ARDMS or CCI certification required within one year of start date. BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Experience:
  
  No experience required.
