Mid Coast Hospital's Emergency Department has 23 beds and operates 24/7, staffed by highly qualified nurses and physicians. The department provides initial treatment for patients of all ages, handling a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries. Team members deliver rapid assessment and management of critical conditions, as well as prompt care for minor illnesses and injuries.

Maine Health is offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of RN experience, and a $20,000 bonus for those with more than 2 years of RN experience!
Bonus eligibility details:
- Hired (offer accepted) into a full or part-time RN position. Bonus is prorated for part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.
- Current Maine Health employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation.
Position Details:

The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care is responsible for managing patient care through clinical practice, leadership, management, professionalism, and ongoing development. This role includes independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Minimum Qualifications (KSAs)Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Current applicable state license as a Registered Nurse required. BLS certification required within 30 days of start date. ICU, SCU, ED, and PACU RNs require ACLS and PALS certifications within one year. OB, NICU RNs require NRP certification within one year, in accordance with department guidelines.
At least one year of RN experience required, demonstrating competency in all essential functions of an Acute Care RN.
Skills:
Annual electronic fetal monitoring competency required for RNs assisting laboring women.
