Responsibilities- Patient Care & Triage: Conduct comprehensive patient triage by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and performing observations to identify immediate healthcare needs. Assist with patient exams and support providers during testing and procedures.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform diagnostic and testing procedures (e.g., vision, hearing, drug screens, breath alcohol testing, spirometry) and execute point-of-care tests (strep, flu, RSV, SARS-CoV-2, glucose, lipid panel, urinalysis). Provide cardiac and airway management (ECGs, AED, nebulizers, oxygen) and deliver wound care, immunizations, and medication administration per regulations.
- Patient Engagement & Documentation: Address patient inquiries, communicate test results, and explain medication or therapy plans. Maintain accurate electronic medical records and observe/report changes in patients’ conditions.
- Clinic Operations: Ensure instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained; keep a stocked, sterile workspace to support clinic operations.
- Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work with the clinical team for seamless patient care. Communicate effectively with providers and healthcare professionals, and welcome/train new clinic team members.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive and/or non-consecutive days.
- Full-time: three (3) 12-hour shifts per week with at least four (4) shifts per month on a Saturday or Sunday.
- Part-time: two (2) 12-hour shifts per week with at least two (2) shifts per month on a Saturday or Sunday.
- Per diem: four (4) 12-hour shifts per month, ideally one shift per week.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- If needed, may work at a minimum of three (3) other Convenient
MD locations within one hour travel distance from your primary clinic. - Travel may be required for training shifts outside your primary clinic within one hour commute.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED required. - Certification and experience:
State-licensed practical nurse (LPN) with prior IV placement and monitoring experience. For Maine and New Hampshire, IV certification is required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification:
American Heart Association or American Red Cross. We do not accept CPR, ACLS, or online-only certifications. - Compassionate, authentic, patient-focused:

- 1-2 years of patient triage experience in urgent care or emergency department preferred.
