Family Support Specialist – Visitation

We are hiring a Visit Support Worker (VSW) to supervise visits between children and their family members in a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. The goal is to help families reunify. The role offers flexible shifts that can accommodate school or work schedules, and is ideal for part‑time re‑entry into the workforce.

Responsibilities- Supervise visits, providing structure and guidance to visit participants.
- Conduct visits at a Family Visitation Center, families' homes, or in the community as determined by the Family Plan.
- Support families in working toward reunification.
- Reliable transportation and a valid State of Maine driver’s license to transport youth to and from visits as needed.
- Ability to lift young children in and out of vehicles/car seats and to carry infants and young children to and from vehicles.
- Multiple shifts available; peak hours between 2 pm–7 pm, Monday–Friday.
- A work mobile phone will be provided.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with children and families.
- Must pass background checks including DMV, CPS, APS, and criminal checks.
