About the RoleThe Store Manager position is a salaried role. The Store Manager provides daily leadership to all positions within the store, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists, and the Assistant Store Manager. Reporting to the District Manager, the Store Manager is responsible for day‑to‑day leadership, selecting, coaching, and developing store teammates, and supporting Monro’s vision to be America’s leading automotive service and tire center.
Responsibilities- Develop sales and technical teammates to produce a consistent 5‑star Guest experience.
- Assist in developing and implementing sales plans, with thorough knowledge of services and products.
- Introduce tire and service products to guests to maximize sales, satisfaction, and loyalty.
- Support teammates in establishing a productive sales environment by training and developing them on all shop operations and guest services.
- Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist with services/repairs as needed.
- Manage recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and performance management of teammates.
- Control expenses by managing payroll, phone usage, maintenance, repairs, supplies, utilities, and other controllable items.
- Maintain inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
- Audit courtesy inspections performed by teammates.
- Ensure the store remains in excellent condition and consistently guest‑ready.
- Schedule guest appointments and assign teammates according to skill level.
- Achieve sales goals by informing and recommending tire and service products and promotions.
- Attend to all guest needs in areas of sales, service, complaints, and adjustments.
- Build guest relationships to maximize customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
- Assist teammates in conveying repair and service needs to guests.
- Understand and adhere to company policies, governmental standards, environmental codes, and ASNI/OSHA standards.
- Maintain technical knowledge and capabilities through Monro University training courses and modules.
- Operate, utilize, and maintain all equipment safely, following Monro and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Guest and team‑focused mindset with extensive customer‑facing experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical issues and write reports.
- Business mentality with drive to exceed established goals.
- Basic math skills for calculating discounts, interest, and percentages.
- Proactive with proven multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
- Initiative in identifying problems, collecting data, and making practical decisions.
- Mentor, coach, and develop teammates effectively.
- Resolve customer complaints and maintain satisfaction.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a retail/sales environment.
- Proven ability to manage, drive, and deliver financial results while controlling costs.
- Ability to motivate a team to achieve set goals and objectives.
- Problem‑solving skills with inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
- Strong communication skills to interact with teammates and guests.
- Complete all required Monro training on schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
Physical Requirements
This job operates in an automotive shop environment with moderate noise, weather exposure, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. General Service Technicians must be able to: travel flexible hours, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance, stand and walk for long periods, and perform reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting motions.

Compensation:
The yearly salary for this role is $65,000‑$75,000. This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives. Pay will be determined based on experience level.
