Manufacturing ​/ Production Operator, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Overview

Tenneco is looking for a Maintenance / Automated Assembly Operator that will be demonstrating mechanical ability. Provide flexibility and able to effectively coordinate several activities simultaneously, switching amongst tasks as necessary. This person will become a valued member of our GVS Group, where we strive to promote from within wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.

An ideal candidate for this position is a candidate who possesses the ability to take initiative, anticipate problems, and take appropriate corrective action. Perform job responsibilities without constant supervision.

• Ability to frequently lift 35 pounds.
• Regularly required to stand, climb stairs, or move about the facility.
• Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand movements.
• Infrequent exposure to share metal edges during replacement of pallet belts, (personal protection equipment provided.)

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• At minimum: 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing field.
• Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions form non-schedule downtime.
• Ability to handle basic tools.
• Advanced mechanics of equipment.
