After a few years in general ledger accounting, you know how a stack of unprocessed invoices can quietly pile up into a real problem, you know what it takes to keep cashflow under control when payments come from every direction, and you know the relief of closing a quarter without loose ends. What you have not had yet, is full ownership of that ledger from end to end .

Our partner is a real estate investment group with well over a billion euros in assets across France and Belgium , and a Belgian portfolio in the hundreds of millions. The Belgian operations are entering a strong growth phase, with the finance function scaling alongside it. You join as GL Accountant, with direct visibility on the full financial cycle and a close working relationship with the CFO .
Your responsibilities as the GL Accountant
Full processing of incoming invoices and bank statements
Handling of miscellaneous accounting entries
Ownership of payments and cashflow follow-up
Client history tracking and reconciliation
Contribution to annual accounts , VAT and corporate tax filings , and quarterly and annual closings
You are the person the CFO can hand the ledger to and stop thinking about it.
Your profile as the GL Accountant
Bachelor's in Accounting or Tax
3 to 8 years of experience in accounting
Fluent in French, xlxgzvr knowledge of Dutch is a big plus
