Are you a data expert ready to shape the analytical future of a major public healthcare institution? As a Senior Data Engineer, you will become a cornerstone of our central Data Office. You will develop high-end analytical solutions that directly impact the efficiency and quality of healthcare services in Belgium.
The challenge
Working within a multi-disciplinary Agile team, you will bridge the gap between raw data and actionable insights. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of data solutions, from designing robust data warehouses to implementing advanced Delta Lake environments.
Your impact
Architecture & Development:
Design, build, and maintain scalable BI solutions (Data Ingestion, DWH, Data Marts) using Kimball methodology and Microsoft technologies.
Modern Data Stack:
Leverage the power of Azure Databricks, Python, and Apache Spark to handle complex Big Data challenges.
Quality &
Innovation: Conduct prototype reviews, perform troubleshooting, and ensure high-quality technical documentation.
Collaboration:
Partner with Data Architects, AI specialists, and Project Leaders to deliver pragmatic solutions in a fast-paced Scrum environment.
Your profile
We are looking for a tech-savvy professional with a "can-do" attitude, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to work autonomously.
Technical expertise:
At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a deep background in the Microsoft BI On-Prem stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, T-SQL)
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Python (Pandas), and Apache Spark
Expert knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling; experience with Data Vault is a significant plus
Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Active professional proficiency in English, Dutch, and French is required for this role
