Position: Data Engineer – Permanent Role in Belgium (Relocation)
About the Opportunity
Our client companies in Belgium are hiring experienced Data Engineers for permanent positions. We are looking for professionals based in Portugal who are genuinely open to relocating to Belgium and want to grow their careers in one of Europe's strongest data markets.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain reliable data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Develop and optimise data warehouse and lakehouse models
- Orchestrate and monitor workflows (Airflow or similar)
- Work with analysts, data scientists and business teams to deliver usable data
- Ensure data quality, documentation and good engineering practices
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong experience with named tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Airflow, dbt, Azure Data Factory or Big Query
- Proven, delivered projects (please describe scale and context in your CV)
- Fluent English;
French is an advantage but not required
- Confirmed openness to relocate or commute to Belgium
