- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
- Assisting with prior authorizations for patient medication.
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and medications.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
- Knowledge of running a mental health clinic, medical coding, and billing.
- Assist with TMS, Spravato, VSAT, and RTM.
- Answering the phones, calling to confirm appointments, and verifying insurance.
- Ability to work the front end as well as the back.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Skilled in patient care techniques, including taking vital signs and assisting with examinations.
- Knowledgeable in medication administration procedures and basic life support techniques.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing.
- Valid certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient service.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
