Overview

Responsibilities
  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
  • Assisting with prior authorizations for patient medication.
  • Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and medications.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
  • Knowledge of running a mental health clinic, medical coding, and billing.
  • Assist with TMS, Spravato, VSAT, and RTM.
  • Answering the phones, calling to confirm appointments, and verifying insurance.
  • Ability to work the front end as well as the back.
Experience
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Skilled in patient care techniques, including taking vital signs and assisting with examinations.
  • Knowledgeable in medication administration procedures and basic life support techniques.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing.
Requirements
  • Valid certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient service.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
