Medical Assistant
As our Certified Medical Assistant, you will work under the direction of the health care provider to deliver patient care that promotes the safety and wellbeing of everyone who walks through the clinic's doors.
Every day you will accurately perform preliminary physical tests such as measuring blood pressure, recording weight, temperature, pulse, and respirations, along with other measures as directed by established clinical protocols.
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong clinical skills and attention to detail, along with the ability to follow established protocols accurately and consistently. You will need excellent communication skills, compassion for patients, and the ability to work closely with healthcare providers to support safe, high-quality care.
- Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
- Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
- Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
- May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
- May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKG’s.
Required
- High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
- High School GED, upon hire and
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire or
- Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire or
- Certified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire or
- National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire or
- National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire or
- Registered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire or
- Registered Medical Assistant, upon hire or
- Cert Med Asst - MMCI, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
- 1 year of experience
